CHICAGO, Illinois --- June 12th, 2007 --- Richter Studios recently launched a new first-person video-based web site for the Snap-On Corporation. The experience features actors shot in High-Definition by Richter Studios on location in Milwaukee. The web address for the new experience is www.relyonyourinstict.com, one in a series of Snap-On web experiences created by Richter Studios, including www.torqueinlesstime.com and www.motherofallcordlessimpactwrenches.com.
“The Rely On Your Instinct web site is a great representation of how traditional businesses are adopting high-definition for their online experiences,” stated CEO David Richter. “We had been doing proof-of-concepts since before Flash could even play video content, so it’s great to finally see this happening on a mass-scale.”
The Rely On Your Instinct site is comprised of 22 high-definition videos of three actors personifying and displaying the finesse, strength, and speed of the Instinct screwdriver model. This impressive array of high-definition video exists dynamically, running on programming that randomizes the video content, while also allowing for manual navigation. The Instinct tool demonstrations and actors were shot using an HDX900 at 1080P against a white cyclorama. The composition was created and captured by award-winning cinematographer Marcel Morin.
Adding functionality to impressive flash video content, the site also contains links to additional Richter Studios-produced high definition flash sites, as well as Snap-On’s online purchasing page for the Instinct screwdriver product line. Noted Producer Ed Grozich, "Being a Producer at an agency with such depth is truly liberating. From high-definition cinematography and post-production, to our advanced Web and Flash programming capabilities, the breadth of talent at Richter Studios makes it possible for us to take on complex projects with confidence”
